Mages are part of an active understanding class. They are meant to do what needs to be done based on their knowledge (or, if applicable, “visions”), as opposed to trying to lead their team to the best action. They are capable of using their knowledge to gain an insane amount of control over their aspect, at least if they’re good at being a Mage. Oftentimes people in an understanding class have poor knowledge of their opposite aspect. They also tend to have difficulty growing into their class, with Mages often trying to act as Seers at first, and vice-versa. Mages, as well as Seers are usually somewhat cynical and self-berating, although there are exceptions. In particular, Mages are often intelligent and impatient, although their intelligence could potentially be very specialized. Mages are generally in sessions where the path to take with their aspect is unclear, even with the availability of tons of information. They are generally more active in how they gain and use information than Seers are. (The opposite of a Mage is a Heir, a passive manipulation class. The passive counterpart is the Seer, a passive understanding class.)

Mind can represent thought, trickery, action, behavior, and internal logic. Mind players are pretty likely to disregard illogical things like luck and emotion. Terezi, as a Seer of mind, was very good at predicting what others would do and how the actions of herself and others would play out. But she would disregard the feelings of others, especially apparent in how she ignored why Karkat was trying to keep his blood color a secret. Latula, a Knight of Mind, was in a session lacking in planning or good ideas. She was, however, too caught up in putting on an air out of fear to be useful to her team. (The opposite of Mind is Heart, which represents a sense of self, soul, impulse, desire, internal strength, and empathy.)

A Mage of Mind could potentially have visions related to the decisions of others, or be able to read minds when godtier’d. They would be very good at logical thinking and the such, but fucking awful at dealing with emotions. Their personality, like any classpect, could go a few different ways. Mages and Mind players can often be cynical, insensitive towards others, and controlling, so keep that in mind! (ehehe)

When under severe pressure, stress, or some sort of outside influence, a Mage of Mind could end up acting like a very shitty Heir of Heart. Trying to change how others feel about things. Being confused and impulsive and overwhelmed and probably very depressed.
