Well, let’s break this son of a bitch down, shall we?

Mage of Mind was actually the first class I put together an interpretation for. Generally speaking, Mages of Mind are just crazy about being tapped into the thoughts and decisions of their teammates. Not going to lie, it’s kind of a dick move when you can’t throw a surprise party for someone, but I’m not bitter. These guys know what’s coming before it’s coming, not because they see the future but because they see people, they know people, and they know what kind of porn you’re hiding under your bed.

Bard of Doom, on the other hand? A little trickier. I’ve always been inclined to call them hacks and wanna-be psychics, but there is something to someone who can one day tell you that if you take the train you’re going to die but also recommend you take a bus that explodes five hours later. Ultimately the choice you want to be making is a choice between knowing what people will do or what will happen to those people. Good luck.

Ok, this has been sitting in here forever, so let’s do a quick summary of Princes in general.

Princes are a very powerful class - their ability to destroy their Aspect or destroy with it gives them a lot of flexibility and different ways to do damage. A Prince in full control of his powers would be a formidable warrior, capable of smashing through enemies and leveling anything that gets in his way.

Unfortunately, Princes’ power comes at a price. Princes often turn their classpect on themselves. Dirk shatters his own identity to the point where he can’t stand himself. Eridan gives up hope that he can stand against the ‘lord of all angels’. What’s more, Princes turn their powers on those they care about. Dirk manages to not only wreck his relationship with Jake but put the entire Alpha session on the rocks (although it wasn’t a solo effort by any means). Eridan kills Feferi, who he claimed to love (YMMV on that one). Kurloz deafened and now manipulates his former matesprit, and it’s implied he has more control than is healthy over his moirail as well.

Princes often end up set apart from their group, whether because of their own actions or because they just seem a little different. This often only helps them damage themselves and everyone else more.

We have yet to see a Prince fully pull himself together, gain control over his classpect, and manage to use it only for good while taking care of himself. I’m sure it’s possible - it seems unfair to make a class always spell someone’s ruin - but it’s difficult. The power to destroy is, well, destructive. If you make your class a weapon, it’s going to hurt.

The Mage of Void would likely be rather…Distressing to be around. Void players are prone to states of depression, are often very negative, and usually tend to think on the darker side of the silver line. Mages are calculative, cunning, and rather passive-aggressive, enjoying to find some…

Hm. The Thief of Hope would likely have an exotic or abnormal Strife Specibus, something like “chainwhipkind” or something like that.

They would also very likely be a Derse Dreamer considering they have a personal agenda that would involve making things bleak for other players.

And for their planet, I believe it would be something like Land of Tunnels and Glow.

The thieves we’ve seen so far have tended to be confident, reckless, anti-hero personality types. In fact, the class’s morality (so far) seems to be a bit hazy. In their sessions, Thieves are powerful and game-changing but also a source of controversy. They delight in stirring up trouble, but sometimes they really do mean well.

Hope is a very mysterious and powerful Aspect. It seems to run on belief - steamrolling all natural laws with the power of wanting something to happen. Thieves steal their Aspect from others and take it for themselves. So what does it mean to steal Hope?

A Thief of Hope might be able to steal others’ belief. This sounds lame, but a lot of SBURB power mechanics rests on confidence in yourself. This classpect might be able to hamstring other players by taking away their beliefs in their own power. And, of course, this would grant the Thief even greater control over their own abilities.

After Vriska steals her opponent’s luck, she’s able to weaponize it against them. A Thief of Hope might be able to manifest the white-light Hope attacks seen from Eridan and Jake if they stole enough Hope from others.

Of course, these are all pretty sketchy actions (which thieves are not averse to). Is it possible for a Thief to cooperate with their teammates?

Well, hopefully we’ll get more insight on the potentials of Thieves and a clearer picture of Hope later in the comic. I don’t think any Class is strictly negative, although some do have leanings. (Princes, which I’ve also been charged with writing on, are unfortunately dealt a bad hand of cards.) A Thief of Hope might be able to steal the motivation or power from enemies. Depending on exactly how tied together Hope and existence/reality are, they might even be able to make opponents pop out of existence! (This seems very Voidy, but consider that Jake and Roxy both were able to summon pumpkins out of thin air. Void and Hope have some connections.)

Again, until we know more, this is what I can offer.

Oh hey, A god tier blog: Prince Of Blood:

vhclasspects:

A prince of blood would be able to both destroy blood and destroy with blood.

With the main meaning of blood being bonds, the prince will either break or make teams. By this I mean he/she would either destroy blood and cause a team to fall apart, or they would destroy with blood and form…

I like to think of Sylphs as players who guide and nurture using their Aspect. So a Sylph of Blood would probably be quite similar to a Maid of the same aspect. She’d keep an eye on her teammates and try to make sure they’re all getting along, while perhaps steering them away from alliances and relationships she deems unhealthy. She could even pacify or make alliances with unlikely individuals - the Blood player is probably always the one you want to send to get Jack Noir or a similar entity on your side. She might also use her aspect as leverage. Perhaps she’s very good at making people think she’s their best friend, charming them into doing whatever she wants. She wouldn’t force people to do anything. They’d be falling over themselves in an attempt to please her because she’s just that great!

Of course, that can be dangerous. As I’ve said, Sylphs seem to lean either too passive or too active. While a passive Sylph fears to interfere in messy team squabbles, an overly active one might try to manipulate them or use her position of power to make people do what she thinks is best. Being a dictator - even a well loved one - is no good.

Of course, there’s more to the Blood aspect that we don’t know yet, so unfortunately this is all I can tell you. For now.

Last one for the night:

(I typed knight first oh no)

If Knights keep their session and team working right, this classpect’s main tool and weapon is belief. This player believes in everyone - maybe even to fanatical levels. They’re the cheerleader, the motivator, the one that says ‘we’re gonna win this thing guys, if we just keep moving’.

Knight power manifestations vary pretty wildly - Karkat’s is far more subtle than Dave’s, for example. A Knight of Hope might notice that what they want most tends to happen - they promise against all odds that a path will be clear, and it is. They say someone will pull through from an injury, and they make a miraculous recovery. At some point, they might realize that they’re making this happen. Their belief - if it’s strong enough - has power. If they can channel it reliably, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Alas, as I’ve said before, Knights have issues. A Knight of Hope might fear that they’re leading their friends on - pretending to be certain and confident when deep down they’re scared like everyone else. What if they’re wrong? What if they make promises they can’t keep? What if they fail? It’s a vicious cycle. If they begin doubting themselves, their powers will start to dwindle. So they’ll have to overcome any personal hurdles before they can reliably use their classpect to accomplish what needs to be done.

This is an interesting one. We don’t know *too* much about the Mind aspect yet, but I can make some guesses.

Thieves steal their Aspect to both affect the loser and gain something themselves. How do you steal Mind? Well, a Thief of Mind might be able to scramble, confuse, or even destroy opponents’ thoughts. They might start out as a naturally confusing or frustrating person and slowly hone their talents until it’s an actual superpower. They might also be able to wipe minds, stealing thoughts about a certain person or idea in order to keep their enemies from following through with a plan or remembering they caught the player doing something sneaky.

How would this benefit them? A Thief of Mind might be able to steal information from opponents and learn it themselves. Want to know a monster’s weak spot? Curious about gaps in Derse’s defenses? They’ll pull it out of something’s brain. They might also be able to enhance their own though processes/quickness, allowing them to calculate odds and come up with plans in record time.

Thieves tend to be morally questionable, though. As I said, they might be naturally bewildering. They might also pry or meddle with peoples’ minds without asking, which wouldn’t win them any friends. A Thief of Mind who wanted to cooperate with their teammates would have to learn boundaries. There are some lines that shouldn’t be crossed.

Prince of Blood

The Prince class is the active destruction class, meaning that he destroys his aspect. It is the counterpart to the passive destruction class: the Bard. In this case, the aspect being destroyed is Blood, which has to do with responsibility, obligation, and ties (or things that keep you anchored).

Sure thing friend!! :D

Princes are thought to be, “one who destroys/destroys with [aspect]” Princes are the active counterpart to Bards, who allow destruction.

Mind is all about mentality, rational thought, and decisions; and about how those decisions affect themselves, and possibly the others on their team.

A Prince of Mind would almost search and destroy rational thought, and good decisions. You and a few others are thinking something a Prince of Mind doesn’t like? Not anymore. If they choose to destroy the better thoughts, a Prince of Mind could be very dangerous.

Hope that helps!
~S.

Mages tend to work in a very curious way - but that’s just coming from a Seer. Mages are those who calculate their aspect, so a Mage of Void would be the best possible navigator of the Furthest Ring, being able to make perfect courses that start from the edge of a session, go through several…

mediumaevum:

Britain’s earliest known tornado, occurred on October 23, 1091. The church at St. Mary le Bow in central London was badly damaged, with four rafters - each 7.9 m long (converted from the reported 26 ft) - being driven into the ground (composed of heavy London Clay) with such force that only 1.2 m (converted from the reported 4 ft) protruded above the surface. Other churches in the area were demolished, as were over 600 (mostly wooden) houses.

Estimates say it’s strength was T8, meaning it could, in comparison, hurl cars great distances.
