Mages are part of an active understanding class. They are meant to do what needs to be done based on their knowledge (or, if applicable, “visions”), as opposed to trying to lead their team to the best action. They are capable of using their knowledge to gain an insane amount of control over their aspect, at least if they’re good at being a Mage. Oftentimes people in an understanding class have poor knowledge of their opposite aspect. They also tend to have difficulty growing into their class, with Mages often trying to act as Seers at first, and vice-versa. Mages, as well as Seers are usually somewhat cynical and self-berating, although there are exceptions. In particular, Mages are often intelligent and impatient, although their intelligence could potentially be very specialized. Mages are generally in sessions where the path to take with their aspect is unclear, even with the availability of tons of information. They are generally more active in how they gain and use information than Seers are. (The opposite of a Mage is a Heir, a passive manipulation class. The passive counterpart is the Seer, a passive understanding class.)
Mind can represent thought, trickery, action, behavior, and internal logic. Mind players are pretty likely to disregard illogical things like luck and emotion. Terezi, as a Seer of mind, was very good at predicting what others would do and how the actions of herself and others would play out. But she would disregard the feelings of others, especially apparent in how she ignored why Karkat was trying to keep his blood color a secret. Latula, a Knight of Mind, was in a session lacking in planning or good ideas. She was, however, too caught up in putting on an air out of fear to be useful to her team. (The opposite of Mind is Heart, which represents a sense of self, soul, impulse, desire, internal strength, and empathy.)
A Mage of Mind could potentially have visions related to the decisions of others, or be able to read minds when godtier’d. They would be very good at logical thinking and the such, but fucking awful at dealing with emotions. Their personality, like any classpect, could go a few different ways. Mages and Mind players can often be cynical, insensitive towards others, and controlling, so keep that in mind! (ehehe)
When under severe pressure, stress, or some sort of outside influence, a Mage of Mind could end up acting like a very shitty Heir of Heart. Trying to change how others feel about things. Being confused and impulsive and overwhelmed and probably very depressed.

![](http://static.diary.ru/picture/1135.gif)
И почему это так смешно представлять?

A Thief of Mind would actually steal the thoughts, rather than read them the way a telepath does. You know how sometimes you lose your train of thought, and you can’t remember the idea you had just moments ago? Or when you think of an idea right before you go to sleep, but can’t remember it after you wake up? That would be what it feels like when a Thief of Mind uses their abilities on you.
(Also, I DID receive your other question!! But I’m dealing with a family crisis at the moment, so I haven’t been able to sit down and write out an answer.)

Spiders like these always make a home on the side of my door in the summer time, any clue what kind it is?
AS: that is a brown funnel web spider! they are very common and are great to have around! they build such cool webs!

I suppose so! I was thinking along the lines of mind control, to be honest, but that would not be inconceivable. Hypnosis is sort of a kind of mind control, I guess. I think telepathy would be more of a Rogue of Mind thing, to be honest, though.
You know Young Justice has that Martian girl, M’gann? You know how she can create a telepathic link between her teammates? I imagine a Rogue of Mind would have the similar powers, but a Thief of Mind would be able to monitor the flow of such a link. The Thief may be able to hear others’ thoughts, but I’m not sure it would work the other way, you feel me?

This is some sort of panel redraw, I guess! I’m not too happy with it, but it was really fun to work on. I’m still figuring out how I like to draw Pickle Inspector, bleghhh…

((omg thanks I forgot I have other asks to answer AAAAAAARGH I HOPE EVERYONE ISN’T MAD AT ME D: ))
I’d think that it would be more likely hypnosis. Thieves steal their aspect to benefit themselves, so it would make sense that they would steal the ability to make decisions from other people, like how Vriska mind controls her friends and all that.
